About St. Christopher's
Preschoolers learn through play.
“Young children work hard at play. They invent scenes and stories, solve problems and negotiate their way through social roadblocks.”
St. Christopher's Day School has been teaching preschool children for more than 60 years. Our educational philosophy is simple: Preschoolers learn through a play-based curriculum.
Young children work hard at play. They invent scenes and stories, solve problems and negotiate their way through social roadblocks. Because their motivation comes from within, they learn the powerful lesson of pursuing their own ideas to a successful conclusion.
“Where children are taught about caring for others and encouraged to find small ways to be independent each day.”

Conveniently located next to Gladwyne Elementary School, St. Christopher's Day School sits on 9½ acres of one of the most beautiful Church properties in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania.
Here, preschool-aged children are encouraged to explore while we take advantage of our unique natural setting throughout the school year — collecting leaves, going on nature hunts, sledding down hills and watching for the first robin of spring.
Children are taught about caring for others and encouraged to find small ways to be independent each day.
Our 9½-acre natural setting gives children the space to explore, discover, and connect with the world around them.
With more than 60 years of experience, we nurture each child's unique strengths and help them grow at their own pace.
